The smart storage system integrates crane technology with traditional goods-to-person conveyors. This system features Storage and Retrieval Machines (SRMs) that manage and control the goods, allowing for a denser storage area and more efficient use of warehouse space. It optimizes warehouse operations by following commands from an automated Warehouse Management System
(WMS). The cranes pick up pallets from entry/exit points and move them to the designated storage locations as instructed. Once at the target location, the conveyors transfer the pallets to the deepest positions as required.
